RE: Uranium mill tailings
Barbara: My recollection from about 20 years ago is somewhere on the order
of 600 pCi/g for Ra-226 and 200 pCi/g for Ra-228. These numbers vary
greatly from site to site depending on the assay of ore and the processing
used. The K-65 residues, however, are a totally different story.

Subject: Uranium mill tailings
Does anyone have some ballpark numbers on the average
concentration of
radium-226 and radium-228 in typical uranium mill tailings?
(In pCi/g)?
Thanks.
