RE: terminology
One of my favorites is "laboratory scale quantities" when used as
justification for screening chemicals from the requirements for quantitative
hazards assessments. It covers a lot of ground and saves a lot of work. It
also saves people from having to be able to understand the results and
meaning of a semi-technical analysis.
