It seems to me that this is a very important variable. The actual TLD
material is thin, so the electron equilibrium is determined by the
surrounding materials. Sandy, please correct me: I assume the metal clip of
a TLD holder would have a large effect if it were situated between the
x-ray source and the TLD chip.
