Re: Personnel Contamination Monitor

VA Power, Surry and North Anna Power Stations employ the Eberline PCM-1B and
PCM-1C, which use gas proportional detectors, at the RCA exits and have been
satisfied with their performance. These are source checked using a NIST
traceable 5,000 dpm Tc-99 source one inch away from each detector and on contact
with the foot detectors. During outages we open the secondary security and
employ the Eberline PM-6A monitors, which also use gas flow proportional
detectors.

Subject: Personnel Contamination Monitor

I am looking to purchase a PCM for beta contamination monitoring. What is
out there? What is your favorite? What is your least favorite? If you're
a vendor, please contact me directly.

Thank you,
