Health Physicist. The Radioactive and Mixed Waste Department at Sandia
National Laboratories in Albuquerque, New Mexico is currently seeking
applicants for an operational health physicist position. The primary
responsibilities of this position include: performing radioactive and mixed
waste sorting and characterization projects for historical wastes; assisting
radiological control technicians with radiation safety issues; and technical
assistance with Department program and project planning. The successful
candidate will have 5 years of operational experience with radioactive and
mixed waste processing issues, experience with DOE and RCRA waste management
regulations, excellent project management skills, and be certified by the
American Board of Health Physics or fully meet the qualifications to become
certified. Must have or be able to obtain a DOE clearance. Sandia National
