radium connection

The Philadelphia meeting had an interesting talk on the M. Curie -
Philadelphia connection.
FYI the following site has some interesting data on the NIST - M. Curie
connection. Fortunately we don't have some of the other attributes of the
Philadelphia connection, e.g., Lansdown (sp?). But the 62 yr old,
glass-encased Hönigschmid radium sources are an interesting source to
contemplate. :-)

But more of interest is the historical linkage to some of our standards as
discussed here.
