Personnel Contaminations
As usual, I agree completely with Sandy Perle. For some of your facilities, activity on the bottom of a shoe is a personnel contamination event, but any activity on scrubs is not?? It is facility-related radioactivity at the final barrier to the unrestricted area. This detected activity needs to be tracked and trended for many reasons.
For those sites that have utilized such bean-counting reasoning as this to preclude the recording of personnel contaminations, be aware that EPRI, INPO, and the NRC are at this very moment looking into a more consistent method.
