plutonium-244 in the environment
according to the news story posted at

there should be trace amounts of plutonium-244 ( T1/2 = 81mln.yrs) in the
environment, principally in oceanic sediments dating back some millions of
years.
Has anyone ever tried to look for this in the past, or found it
serendipitously while checking levels of plutonium from weapons testing
fallout ?
