RE: I-131 Therapy

Dr. Relan:

My technician has come up with the idea of removing the regular toilet seat
and placing a port-a-potty over the toilet. He says that since he started
doing this, contamination of the toilet has dropped considerably. Even male
patients have to sit on this thing so "splatter" is less likely. He just
bags the portable unit after the procedure and puts it into decay in storage
for three months before it is recycled back to the unit for general cleaning
and re-use.

Hope this helps.
