Dear Radsafers:

Not "tens of thousands".  Probably at least around 1-1.5 million.
California, the largest state in the nation, does about 20% of the nation's
Nuclear Medicine, and Texas is the second largest state now.  The total
number of diagnostic procedures in the nation is somewhere around 10-13
million per year.
