Re: CORRECTED INFO RE GAMMAMED HDR UNITS
Paul,
Thanks for the clarification on the problem with the GammaMed HDR units. The Bulletin speaks for itself. The problem appears to be a separation from the drive mechanism and not a "break" between the source and the drive cable as my note indicated.

Subscribers,
Theratronics International Limited has issued a "User Bulletin" to GammaMed
customers as a result of four recent incidents involving source cable
separation.
CLARIFICATION HERE:
The bulletin refers to 4 incidents in which "...the source cable became
separated from the driving mechanism." NOT separation of the source from the
cable!...as grammatically semaphored in Mr. Myers' opening sentence above.
BIG, HUGE, GIGANTIC DIFFERENCE - Let's be more careful out there, even as we
strive to be helpful. Thanks for your attention.

The bulletin has been sent to GammaMed 12i and 12it high dose rate afterloader
users and to the radiation control programs in the Agreement States. The
bulletin describing Theratronics recommendations to users and actions being
taken to remedy the situation is now posted at the OSP web site's "What's New"
area.
