Jack,

Lower threshold contamination events (not dose significant), that are
tracked give indication of radiation worker performance.  These events alone
may not indicate a problem, but the trending of these events can give
insight to a programmatic breakdown and may preclude a larger more serious
events.  (yep, three years at a power reactor and I can almost recite
chapter and verse from INPO)
