Contact your local nuclear pharmacy and ask for preparation inserts
for DTPA from their "Product Information". Best choices in your area
would by Syncor International Corp., Mallinckrodt, or Medi-Physics.

My latest catalog lists 6 different "kits" for preparation of DTPA
lists the following ADVERSE REACTIONS:
1. Pyrogenic and allergic reactions to Tc-99m Pentetate injection
preparations have been reported in literature.
2. No long term animal studies have been performed to evaluate
carcinogenic potential or whether Tc-99m Pentetate injection affects
fertility in males and females. Mutigenesis studies have not been
conducted.
3.. Animal reproduction and tetratpgenecity studies have not been
conducted with Tc-99m pentetate injection. It is also not known
whether Tc-99m pentetate injection can cause fetal harm when
administered to a pregnant woman or can affect the reproductive
capacity. There have been no studies in pregnant women. Tc-99m
pentetate should be given to a pregnant woman only if clearly needed.
4. Tc-99m is excreted in human milk during lactation. Therefore,
formula should be substituted for breast feedings.
5. Pediatric Use: Safety and effectiveness in children have not been
established.

These are general and contained in all literature I currently have
for DTPA.
