more units
As difficult as SI units are, I note that Americans have adapted well to
thinking of their soda pop and whisky in liters. One point of interest to
many Americans (at least of the male variety) - I get to go 100 or over on
my way to work every day, while most of you are limited to around 60 without
fear of meeting the police! Ever seen a 32 pound slug? Not a pretty sight.
Yes, I'm rambling, probably straying into off-topic land. What I'm getting
at is just the issue of getting used to a different system of units, it
isn't that hard. The same workers that could *never* get used to thinking
in mGy pick up a 2 liter on the way home from work every day (hopefully it's
soda) and know what they're getting.
However, I do concede that we need a special unit for exposure, the SI
committee has been intransigent on this.
