On the cover:  A study of direct contamination to fruit and leaf-to-fruit 
transfer factors for 134Cs and 85Sr was done on grapevines, apple trees, 
and pear trees to help assess public dose from accidental environmental 
contamination.  See article by F. Carini et al. on page 520 for more 
information.

Runner up cover photo:  The Stanford Linear Accelerator(SLAC). The 
radiation safety system of the B-Factory at SLAC is designed to protect 
people from prompt radiation exposure due to beam operation. See article 
by J. C. Liu et al. on page 588 for more information.
