RE: Radon class demo

          Try using:
          
          1.   A different type of "filter" paper  When you say "thick" I'm 
               not sure what you mean, but, air must be able to pass through 
               it.
          
          2.   Longer sampling time.  Try 5 minutes
          
          3.   Use an alpha probe and not a GM.  The alpha probe will have a 
               near zero background.
          
          4.   Take your sample in a lower level (under ground) space which 
               has no or limited ventilation.
