RE: 60th criticality accident

According to Fundamentals of Nuclear Criticality Safety (R.A. Knief,
1993)the Idaho Chemical Processing Plant was subject to a total of three
excursions. This work cites the third excursion as causing "two fatalities
within 3 ft (1 m) of excursion" with "significant exposures to 15 m (50 ft)"

If this is in error or if I have misinterpreted the information as
presented, please accept my apologies for submitting erroneous information.

Sincerely,

Andy

We cannot prove that those are in error who tell us that society has
reached a turning point, that we have seen our best days. But so said
all before us, and with just as much apparent reason. On what principle
is it that, when we see nothing but improvement behind us, we are to
expect nothing but deterioration before us? Lord Thomas B. Macaulay,
