Re: Exposures in Japan Accident

Bill Miller wrote: "Does anyone have any information on the dose to the three
workers at the Japan
criticality?"

An article in yesterday's Los Angeles Times reported the following estimated
exposures:

Hisashi Ouchi - about 17 sieverts (1700 rem)
Masato Shinohara - about 10 sieverts (1000 rem)
Yutaka Yokokawa - about three sieverts (300 rem)

The Times also reported: "Authorities haven't said how much radiation the 43
others were exposed to, but a Science and Technology Agency spokesman said
Monday that the worst affected were cleanup workers, who nevertheless received
less than 0.1 sievert (10 rem), and that none has exhibited any symptoms of
radiation sickness."
