Nuclear Waste Meeting - (COLUMBIA) -- The governor's Nuclear Waste 
Task Force meets today (11/1). On the agenda is the possibly 
rejoining the Southeast Compact Commission. That would limit the 
amount of out-of-state waste coming into South Carolina. South 
Carolina pulled out of the Compact during governor David Beasley's 
Administration because North Carolina failed to build a replacement 
facility for the Barnwell waste dump.
