RE: Gould's Tooth Fairy Project

November 4, 1999
Davis, CA

Of course there is Sr-90 in baby teeth, but the amount is trivial and the
dose to the skeleton is also trivial. However, to Gould, STAR, Sternglass,
Cauldicott, et al., the presence of one atom of Sr-90 in a baby tooth is
proof of an intolerable risk. Using EPA's Federal Guidance Report #13 they
can even quantify the risk per atom of Sr-90 ingested.
