RE: Breathing Zone Representation

Mike,

We are using NUREG-1400, section 3.1 as our primary reference for using 30
cm as our reference maximum distance. In practice, this is either on the
lapel, or on the hard hat.

Subject: Breathing Zone Representation

RADSAFERS:

What is the maximum distance from a worker's face that can still be
considered repreentative of the breathing zone?

Please include an industry reference document, or how you determined the
maximum distance.

Thanks.
