radon risk and dose reporting

Those of you familiar with radon dosimetry are aware of the difference in
risk when calculating a given radon (and daughter product) exposure
dosimetrically as compared with the epidemiological basis. Although this
factor of three difference (roughly) is small in terms of the total
uncertainty, from a regulatory standpoint the factor of three difference
causes problems when the results are required to be compared to a dose
limit.

Without trying to bias the response, I am interesting in how others have
calculated and or reported the dose from an estimated indoor radon exposure.
A document reference wherein such calculations were performed would be
great. Any input from the EPA, NRC or other states would also be greatly
appreciated.
