Radon dose and risk estimates

As many of you familiar with radon are aware, there is a difference in the
risk estimates when calculations are based upon dosimetry as compared to an
epidemiological basis. While the factor of three (roughly) difference is
small in terms of the overall uncertainty, the difference causes problems
when the results must be compared to a regulatory dose limit.

I am interested in finding out how others have dealt with this situation,
i.e. did you perform the calculations from a dosimetry or epidemiological
basis. A document reference where you have performed or included these
calculations would be great. Any EPA, NRC or state input on this issue
would be appreciated as well.
