X-rays and Computers?

The thread on neutrons and computers reminded me of a question I
have every time I travel with a lap-top--will the security X-ray at
airports damage either the computer or the diskettes?  If one time
throught won't, can multiple exposures cause damage (as they might
to photographic film)?
