RE: NRC provides generic soil criteria (DCGLs) using late
It has always perplexed me how the government will work hard to prevent 25
millirem per year exposure from a clean up yet turn a completely blind eye
on someone building a brick house (with 15 muR/hr bricks) on a granite
outcrop having 20 muR per hour.
I find neither the bricks nor the granite alarming, but someone apparently
finds the 25 millirem/yr (= ~3 muR/hr) worthy of spending gigabucks on. If
25 mR/yr is worth worrying about, why isn't 100mR/yr?
