Re: estimates of human-human irradiations



    I once (1972) heard Dr, Teller say that he had calculated that the amount 
    of radiation dose one receives by sleeping with another person is < 5 
    mrem; but sleeping with two other persons would result in a dose > 5 mrem 
    and therefore would be above a proposed "alara" value.

I don't want to start an instoppable thread-- but has anybody 
computed how much irradiation we get from standing by others, due to 
our natural concentrations of radionuclides?  Any other similar 
comparisons?
