P.S. Has any media besides Pacifica's Democracy Now
reported the US/UK nuclear bomb test on the 1st of March in the Nevada
testing grounds? They reported U of California, Bechtel, Los Alamos and
others were involved. There was no word on whether it was above or
underground, but the report made it clear that it was a violation of the NPT. It
was this report that spoke of the two governments' promotion of nuclear
power plants around the world, likely leading to nuclear and radioactive
weapons proliferation.

Henk, I can't see how the two can be seperated. The
narrow view ignores
recent developments ie plans by Washington and the
UK to cooperate in
proliferating nuclear weapons AND power plants
internationally; enrichment
plans here to utilize power plants' spent fuel for
its plutonium and tritium
and to use MOX in new nuclear plants. More uranium
mining and enrichment
will lead to the development and use of both
radioactive AND nuclear
weapons. The creaky old fraud perpetrated by the
Eisenhower administration -
the "Peaceful Atom"- fooled many for years. It's
urgent now to expose the
connection, now that Bush and Blair are no longer
trying so hard to hide it.
P.S. Has any media besides Pacifica's Democracy Now
reported the US/UK
nuclear bomb test on the 1st of March in the Nevada
testing grounds? They

Laka Foundation no longer member of the
International Coalition to Ban Uranium Weapons
(ICBUW)
Dear Friends,
Laka Foundation decided last month to leave the
International Coalition to
Ban Uranium Weapons (ICBUW). We had many
differences in opinion
which were refused to be mediated by the
coalition. For example, Laka
didn't and doesn't want to involve nuclear weapons
in any way in the
anti-uranium weapons campaign, while others did
so.
The undersigned will continue their work and
research on uranium weapons
independently.
Kind Regards,
