[ RadSafe ] " Technology to detect radiation has progressed "

Maury (and Dog),

You have, as usual, spoken well. There is a great delta between living
and being ALIVE. Allowing external influences to dictate how we live is
analogous to casting off the frock of freedom for a suit of armor. Sure
... You would be less likely to be harmed ... and you'd look really cool
to those women who frequent renaissance fairs ... you know ... the large
ones with really pointy hats ... but that wondrous benefit aside ... the
things ... the FREEDOM one sacrifices to adorn themselves thus are not
what I would consider an acceptable trade.

Bob, you have hit the head exactly on the nail! All of us in the US are
target-rich. But it is far more satisfying to live on a roller coaster
than on a merry-go-round! Not of my origin, but the following is very
well put:
" Some circumstantial evidence is very strong, as when you find a trout
in the milk. Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of
arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid
in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly
proclaiming --
WOW--What a Ride!!!"
Cheers,

is to cancel the sport.

We won't be the first to try that approach. We will continue to live
our lives, defend against what we perceive as credible threats, and try
to educate the agressors on the catastrophic consequences of their
actions should they do the unimaginable. Short of abandoning life as we
have lived it and hiding forevermore, what else is there?
