*ALARA Coordinator*

   - Analyzing radiological hazards associated with work activities and
   devising controls to minimize radiation exposure;

·         Comprehensive knowledge of radiation protection principles,
standards, and regulatory requirements as well as fundamental radiation
detection and measurement techniques is required.

·         Detailed knowledge of field and laboratory radiation detection
instrumentation, shielding design, dose assessment modeling, and ALARA
principles is desired.

·         Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.

·         Independently completing the in-progress and post-job reviews of
field work to ensure dose reduction techniques are being effectively used
and that person-rem exposure goals are not exceeded

Requirement

Associate degree in a related field and a minimum of four years' progressive
experience in radiological controls and ALARA fundamentals is required.

Working knowledge of Microsoft office is required.

National Registry of Radiation Protection Technologist (NRRPT) certification
desired.

Current knowledge of industry and regulatory standards and criteria
pertinent to radiological control.
