I agree David. I do not consider anybody a "troll." Let's ALL stick to the topics/sciences of radiation, health physics and good science.

John, Franz, et all,
I will defer to you in all things regarding radiation safety, but I think
statements like this speak quite convincingly of the danager of speaking
outside one's area and expertise - it tends to be embarrassing.
As this list is public and archived, it is probably a very very bad place
to declare ones opinions about politics in a heated and "exuberant"
fashion. As one who has already fallen victim to the temptation I am
already regretting it.
This conversation has obviously gotten to the point where none of the
participants are going to change the minds of any other participants, and
only damage their own reputations.
I strongly suggest we all simply agree to disagree on the subject and if
parties feel very strongly about the issue they put their energy to work
in a more productive fashion by lobbying thier respective governments
rather than wasting their time shouting to those who already agree with
them or never will.
Please note that I am not speaking as a moderator or maintainer of the
list but simply as a witness of far too many flame wars who is aware
that a google search on one's name is often now a common part of the
interview process.
Please use your own best judgement, and don't feed the trolls who ever you
might consider them to be.
David.
