On page 938:

"According to the IAEA, an estimated 100,000-200,000 wanted pregnancies were aborted in Western Europe because physicians mistakenly advised patients that the radiation from Chernobyl posed a significant health risk to unborn children."

Just another case of radiophobia! Another one: I was living in South America at the time, and many poor people did not consume the powdered milk given to them by European relief agencies, because they feared that it would be contaminated.
