[ RadSafe ] High School Programs

Hi Steve, 

Unfortunately, I do not believe that there are a lot of radiation camps targeting high school students. He might be better off trying to get into a more general physics or chemistry summer program that many universities offer. 

I would check with your local American Nuclear Society chapter. At the ANS summer meeting, they had seminars describing new educational programs targeting high school students.

George Dowell has been known to run educational programs of various types. 

Some of my colleagues have tried to take Cloud Chambers with radioactive sources into local schools but have run into opposition from those afraid of exposing the children to "dangerous" materials.
