Would not a letter to the editors be an appropriate course of action?

Hi Danny,

My comment to Roger in an earlier post applies to this PNAS Report as well.
Many of these studies are meaningless, technically unsound, yet the media,
the self-centered scientists and in some cases the public, clamor for these
type of articles, blogs, newscasts and yes, even scientific body reports.
Apparently everyone has this vision of being a celebrity, seeing their name
in lights (in this case, in print).

If there was just a bit of truth and honesty in any of these studies, one
could give them the benefit of the doubt. But personally, I see none. The
scientific community should be embarrassed.

Regards,

Sandy

Since there was activation in the seawater coolant, there was no "leakage"
of neutrons. It's a reactor. The neutron activity isn't all going to cease
instantaneously upon shutdown (or for a good time afterwards). I fail to
see the point of this academic exercise.
Perhaps someone will enlighten me. Actually, I know you will.

Notice the use of the term "harmful radiation" in the text.
