I suspect that if I endorsed keeping this tread alive, Franz would have then condemned it.

The fact that 3 individuals or so have responded to this thread does not make it appropriate for Radsafe. It is simply not appropriate. This is not a political forum, and, we should not be castigating any Country here on Radsafe. 

The thread has absolutely nothing to do with radiation protection, continues to foster negative comments and will contribute nothing to the political dialogue that continues in the appropriate forums.

Radsafers,. I by far do not agree with all posts of Joe, though I enjoy many of them. The thread he opened is more than welcome for me, because I still think that such topics are essential for radiation protection scientists, who have a better insight in these topics than somebody who has to make money  by selling instruments and services. We should know at the latest since the Manhattan Project that scientists are misused by politiians as puppets for their political games. 

Furthermore I think that it is not the task of a RADSAFE member to urge all other several thousands to stop a thread, especially since its continuation shows interest in it. .
