Mike, sorry to disappoint you, but comparison of activities and even more of activity concentrations between Cs137 and K-40 does not make any sense. Since K-40 is homeostatically controlled in the body the dose caused by additional K-40 from ingestion is clearly zero, the external gamma dose from it is the same, independently of the Cs-137 dose. (Surprisingly I never noticed any dose reported from other radionuclides like Cs-134 and all the "menue" of fission products and of course transuranics! This had been done in Europe during and after the Chernobyl accident.)
This has been discussed exensively before on RADSAFE.
