While LNT model is trusted, it may have unintended social,
psychological, cultural, economic, etc. consequences. Keeping in mind
the smallest dose of radiation can increase the risk of cancer, people
may start practicing ALARA, and avoid going to the basement, or gather
together - but keeping their distance from each other - in one corner of
the house where the readings happen to be the lowest, or not visit
friends' homes which have higher readings, or choose schools/churches
based on radiation levels, or relocate from the mountain states, or stop
sleeping next to their partners, or frequent stores with lowest
readings, or avoid going to crowded places, e.g. sporting events,
concerts, etc, or avoid flying, or demand lower floors in hotels, etc.
