Benefit, not just absence of harm, may be needed to win public support: Vitamin R.
Cameron (NSWS), B.Cohen (radon and lung ca mortality) and Taiwan apt studies do give impressive epidemiologic evidence of benefit.
Pollycove did show benefit from added radiation (mouse experiments).
I spoke with him this AM and hope he will "supply ammunition" here.

Politically, is there any way to remove regulations and regulators -
and require that harm/benefit>1 be shown for new ones? Market choice
does give safer medical care (measured by ER and Hospital use)
than "evidence based" dictates from a distance, as by The Secretary.
(I will e mail evidence from my own PCPPR to any doubter wishing such).

Could individual choice of radiation dose ( like my sittting on thoriated welding rods)
give LESS cancer and mortality than forcing generalized regulations on all?
How about voluntarily posted levels of radiation as an attraction to homes and farms?
I would pay extra to live in a home with the vitamin R benefit some Taiwanese enjoyed!
