[ RadSafe ] Apparently large amount of Radon in Natural Gas Release near Los Angeles

Dear Otto and dear RADSAFErs,

I am delighted to read your most recent comment on the mysterious "Radon" 
release, one of the few if not only reasonable comments on this topic. 
Gratulations for this comment based on science and not on hearsay, and "I 
assume...." I do not know about the concentration of radon in natural gas" 
(it takes a few minutes to find relevant and reliable literature about this 
topic on google). There are dozens, if not hundreds of papers available on 
diffusion of radon in soil and rocks as well on radon in indoor air in most 
European and developed countries,. Maybe I should be proud of having been a 
driving force for the Austrian Research project on Radon in indoor air, but 
it is only one among dozens.
The results are of course available at the internet. If these informations 
are not used by RADSAFErs I doubt their qualfications.

Comments ignoring things like half lives, diffusion, decay, eqilibrium are 
ridiculous .

Since the half lives of radon and its decay products are only a few days,
surely the long residence time of natural gas in storage tanks and pipes
will result in the nearly complete decay before use.
