Joe,
Thanks for your optimistic view into the future..... I am not up to date
with hightemperature superconductors, but I am more than skeptical. Maybe we
could discuss this again in 10 years again? Since I am already 71 years old
this not 100% sure...

Google mit and arc reactor
The arc fusion reactor uses High Temperature Superconductor material
to generate large magnetic fields. They say the reactor would be smaller
than ITER and could be built in 5 to 10 years. We'll see.
