[ RadSafe ] CHP Study Material

HI, I had a colleague attend the Bevelacqua course, he passed. He took the Bevelacqua course about 10 years ago, so the course materials may have changed since then. I used the CSU course, and passed. It may come down to learning preference and other factors.

I really got a lot from the CSU course. And I could spread the learning out over months, google stuff, review, re-watch lessons, etc. I needed those options to fill in gaps and for a refresher of concepts not used in a while.

Are you taking the test this year? Prep time is disappearing fast...

Does anyone know how well Tom Johnson's (of CSU) CHP exam review course compares to the Bevelacqua course? I can see the cost comparison is very favorable, especially with no travel involved...

I highly recommend Tom's class. I went through it last year and passed Part 1 first attempt. There is a lot of good part 2 stuff in there also.

Hello,

There is an interesting class for exam preparation in Colorado State University. The class is self-paced, so you can move as slow or as fast as you need. You can start as soon as you receive the registration information.
The syllabus is attached for detailed information.
You will need to plan on studying a minimum of 300 hours in order to pass the exam. This works out to be approximately 15 to 20 hours per week.
Check the below website :

Datachem exam prep tool has been used by many to focus on passing Part 1.

I enrolled in the CSU HP exam prep course college class, and I highly recommend it. I know there are other weeklong courses, etc, but the CSU course fit my learning style and time considerations. I am sure the other courses are great as well.

Some say to take both part 1 and 2 the same day, because there is no extra fee, and you might pass. Reasonable approach.

I took them separately, and really geared up for Part 2.

Initially Part I then hopefully Part II. Will point him in the direction of the ABHP site. Thank you.

Will the individual take Part I or Part II? The books by Bev are excellent preparatory material. I am not sure if digital editions are available.
These titles can usually be found on amazon or abe.
There is prep material (free) from the ABHP online, also. This includes study guides and appropriate study references, exams and solutions from prior years.
