You haven't mentioned the air volume in your
laboratory but for the amount of radioactivity used,
10 air volume changes per hour appears to be far too
high. Ventilation for comfort should be enough to
maintain air concentrations below the applicable
regulatory limits (MPC's or DAC's). If you wish to
determine an optimised air renewal volume per hour,
you may consider using the models proposed in ICRP 37.
