Bill, I am not an expert in the area, but I it looks like there
is a
definite stimulation of the immunological response system such as an
increase in T-cell production, along with other imumologic mechanisms that
generally improve disease resistance.. Some researchers who have published
on the subject include Machinodan at UCLA, Liu in the PRC (Health Physics,
52:579), and Hatori in Japan. A good review on the subject can be found in
Jim
Muckerheide's article in NUCLEAR NEWS (Sept.,1995). Better yet, check
