K-40 source

I have a colleague that is interested in a K-40 source.  He hasn't had much
luck finding one, does anyone have any suggestions?  I've suggested a case
of "no-salt", he's not interested in such a large volume source.  

Anybody ever make one?  We can let a lot of neutrons out, any issues with
exposing a bottle of no-salt?
