Re: To: Cohen, Field, Lubin et. al. - LNT debate
My data base has been offered to all requestors for several years,
and has been transmitted to many of them. Instructions follow:
Accessing our data base on radon vs lung cancer in U.S. Counties
FTP into PITT.edu. This is usually done by typing "ftp.pitt.edu"
Then log in as "anonymous" and for password give your e-mail address.
Then type "cd ~ftp/users/b/l/blc" This gives 4 files,. Three of these are
data, 1601 rows (counties) with 76 columns. The meanings of the columns
are in the fourth file. For MINITAB users, short92.mtw or short.mtp should
be the better data files. For others, short.dat would be needed.
