Re: state regulations - quarterly film requirements

     NYS Department of Health does not disallow quarterly film badges for
occupational workers.  We require appropriate monitoring of persons likely
to receive in excess of 10% of the applicable annual limit.   However, NYS
DOH only regulates medical, academic and government facilities outside of
New York City.  The NYS Department of Labor (which regulates industrial and
commercial facilities) or the New York City DOH (which regulates medical,
academic and government facilities within New York City) may have different
requirements.
