Re: To Luxel Users

> Going from 30 to 1 mrem is a big jump. What's the basis?

Another thought. NVLAP requires that each dosimeter have an LLD
determined for the various radiation types (mixtures not included in
the test). If the dose is reported 1 mrem, the LLD calculation must
demonstrate that the dose reported is valid. If the users see a
variance in background in their own facility, also be aware that
there is increased background from transit exposure. If the Control
Badge is not situated within the shipment where each dosimeter
being shipped along with the Control Badge, there is a strong
potential that the shipment is not irradiated evenly, and then take
into account potential medial pharmaceuticals also being shipped.
There will be false positives, believe me.

So, does anyone have the LLD calculations .. what about the
measurement of uncertainty calculations for the process?
