Re: Contract for Akkuyu

I potsed this awhile ago to my news distribution group:

Bids for Turkey's Nuclear Plant Tender Are Extended to April 7

Ankara, Turkey, March 21 (Bloomberg) -- The three groups bidding to
build Turkey's first nuclear power plant extended their offers to
April 7, after the government postponed the tender on March 10,
Anatolian news agency reported. The three groups which includes
companies such as Westinghouse Electric Corp., and Siemens AG, have
sent written confirmations to the Electricity Generation and
Transmission Corp. which postponed the tender. The offers have been
extended without any revisions to the original figures submitted,
reported Anatolian Agency.

Turkey's three-party coalition government agreed to allow the
Electricity Generation and Transmission Corp. to pick the winning
bidder to build the power plant in an effort to remove politics from
the process.
