Re: Whooping Cough treatment

Zella --

Did a little checking for you. The book by Kelly and Dowell, "Roentgen
Treatment of Infection", published in 1942, is sort of a classic in this
area and does not mention treatment of whooping cough by x-rays. However,
back in 1923, Charles Lester Leonard first proposed such treatment, and
there are a couple of pages devoted to the treatment of whooping cough by
x-rays in Pohle, Clinical Radiation Therapy, published in 1938 and also in
the second edition published in 1950. I'm sure that I could find a lot more
references without too much trouble. If you wish more information, please
contact me privately.
