See ANSI Standard N 322 "Inspection and Test Specifications for Direct and
Indirect Reading Quartz Fiber Pocket Dosimeters"
and

Subject:	Direct Reading Dosimeters - Leak Checks,
Good Practices

		1.	A question has come up in our stations about how
often to perform
leak checks on DRDs. The manufacturer says they should be
done monthly, but
industry practice is every 6 months or every year, after the
initial leak
check. Does anyone know the basis of the manufacturer's
recommendation for
monthly checks, or the basis for less frequent checks.
		2.	Does anyone have references/information on good
programs for
		managing DRDs?

		Thanks in advance
