RE: NRC and DOE recordkeeping (was DOE Record keeping)

Liz,
The NRC does maintain a similar database (REIRS) however, no it
does not provide individual records on request. That is done through the
individual licensee.

Subject: NRC and DOE recordkeeping (was DOE Record keeping)

The discussion was directed more towards obtaining the records for a
specific person, not the generic information that is on the website. I
noticed that it does list a contact for dose history requests for DOE
though. Does DOE now provide dose histories for anyone who has worked at a
DOE facility, or does this just pertain to DOE employees? I'm also not
sure I understood a previous post regarding the NRC database. Does the NRC
actually provide such information upon request (with the proper signatures,
of course)? If so, is that information considered to be the dose of record,
or does one still have to contact each of the individual sites for that?
